on Thursday evenings 21 October – 4 November at 18.30 at 9 Chamberlain Road, Scottsville.

A biblical view of money, wealth and possessions and some simple, common sense advice on how to manage these things in a way that gives glory to God, and sets yourselves free from financial bondage at the same time.

It is absolutely vital for Christians to know these things; especially at this time in history.  We are in still in recession; jobs are being lost daily; we are facing an energy crisis like never before and as a result, our complex societies are under threat.  The poor are getting poorer (and more angry), the rich are getting fearful and the person in the middle is under more pressure than ever before.  Read what Rick Joyner has to say about these days:

 “Learning to properly handle unrighteous mammon while maintaining a right spirit is important for every Christian.  Learning to do this now, as the ultimate conflict between the spirit of this world and the kingdom of God begins to revolve around economics and the ability to “buy and sell” (Revelation 13:17), makes this exhortation even more critical and timely.”

Christians need to understand these times so that we can show the world out there that our source is in Jesus Christ, and everything about Him.   But in order to do that, we have to have a right understanding of Money, how to earn it, how to manage it, and how to use it for the Kingdom.  Unfortunately, many Christians behave just like unbelievers when it comes to their money.

“Jesus Christ said more about money than about any other single thing because, when it comes to a man’s real nature, money is of first importance. Money is an exact index to a man’s true character. All through scripture there is an intimate correlation between the development of a man’s character and how he handles his money.” (Richard Halverson)

Money tests the ultimate issues of the human heart.

In this course, which will be over three successive evenings, we will have a look at some of the following:

  • The Biblical view of money, wealth and possessions and what our attitude to them, as Christians, should be;
  • The supernatural conflict that so often creates financial bondage;
  • The importance of ‘Kingdom Flow’ and the implications it has for finance;
  • We’ll construct a simple budget and make sure it works;
  • We’ll leave lots of time for Q&A!

We really encourage everyone to attend this short course, and to use the opportunity to bring along a friend or two, who you know will benefit from it.
