In Grace Generation Church we are committed to being people who are full of God's Spirit and Word, and who live for the glory of God. Our 2011 training will be in partnership with GodFirst Church in Johannesburg and is aimed at training and raising a current and future generation of well rounded leaders within effective local churches. The training is not overtly academic, working well for leaders with busy lives. The training will take place on Sunday evenings at 9 Chamberlain Road training room from 17:00 to 20:00.

For Bible and Leadership Training we will use 3D leadership Training from GodFirst Church in Johannesburg. In this 7 session programme, each block consists of teaching sessions, further reading and written assignments. The assignments ask questions with answers drawn straight out of the teaching sessions and reading material. See http://godfirst.co.za/3DL

COST: R350 for the course or R50 per module. This will cover training material, group discussions and assignments. Training material will include:  

• Teaching content by PJ Smyth (in DVD format)
• Notes to accompany teaching content
• Extra reading
• Assignments

LEADERSHIP TRAINING

These three blocks hone in on three vital areas of local church leadership to help grow mature and balanced 3D leaders. Raising Leaders Rapidly helps create a local church that is a leader-producing machine. Biblical Counseling provides leaders with a simple and effective grid to pastor people through issues. Then the final block is divided into two separate tracks, one for Elders and future Elders, and the other for current and future Small Group Leaders. Our Elders Track will be on the same day as Session 7, but in a different room.

BIBLE TRAINING

Earthed in the early chapters of Ephesians, the Bible training sessions present a Trinitarian-based approach to four foundational doctrines, each shaping the effectiveness and atmosphere of a local church in a dramatic way. The four sessions are a 3D blend of Reformed, Spirit-Empowered, and Missional theology.
